Question from an (obviously) nervous mechanic.....
Fitted the footpeg lowering kit from Motorworks (quality kit, nice folks) - bike feels better already, just from a trial sit in the garage. (Thank you to Simon Eassom for info.)
The kit comes with a spacer to lower the gearchange lever but I can't loosen the current gearchange adjuster to fit it and I now wonder that ham-fisted attempts to remove it could damage the whole assembly!
How do you get the b**t**d off? Basically there are two ball joints: on the foot control itself and on the gearbox connection and a screwthread in-between. Do I force one/both of the ball joints off and then separate them? Attempts to turn the threaded adjuster either way just seems to twist the ball joints.
Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks,
BLL
