Hi guys as the title says, I need some help please.

I am trying to identify the make of suspension unit fitted to my R80 gs, I have had a good look around the forum and have seen some similar ones on R100gs's.

It has a wacking great spring fitted as the bike has a sidecar attached, but I do not know the make of the suspension unit.

As you can see it has an adjuster on the lower section which I guess is a rebound adjuster.

Any help you can give to identify the unit would be greatly appreciated

Hey thanks for the very quick response Rob, I appreciate your help.

Cheers

I do believe that the Minister responsible (for shooting people that paint their swinging arms) has already paid a visit to the previous previous owner ( no not Kenny ) and exacted the appropriate punishment.

Might just have to get the paint stripper out at some stage...... but that will have to wait untill after my maiden voyage on the old girl at the weekend!!

Wish me luck

Cheers

As has been said above; the shock is the standard item fitted by BMW. It is made by Showa I beleive, though it is actualy marked with the BMW logo.
