Help needed in rebuilding a r/h vario pannier

My R/H pannier was ripped off by a moron ,whereby the hooks that secure the pannier to the bike were smashed.|I managed to get a replacement part for the pannier (the bit with the hooks on) and began stripping the broken pannier with gusto.When it came to rebuilding the pannier i spent about 2 days just aligning the gears,putting them on,taking them off,realigning,putting them on,taking them off etc etc.In my excitement i also took off the locking mechanism which exploded and 2 springs were ejected as were a slide and a red plastic pin which i think goes inside the red locking lever.Anyway,i need help to put the bloody thing back together.:
Any help would be most appreciated.

Now you've done it!

Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt!

In the end I had to strip the other one (very carefully!) in order to put the original back together!

Sorry I can't offer a simpler solution. Maybe someone else can?!

Thanks Andy,to be honest i never thought about using the other pannier as a template ,maybe thats the route i will need to take,Thanks again.
