I am considering buying a second hand pair of Al Jesse panniers from a fellow GSer on this forum. They are the "lower exhaust model" and need the exhaust modded to fit. Rob, (the seller) made his own mod but I'm wondering if these panniers should have either instructions or a fitting kit for the modification.

Can anybody shed any light on this? I have sent an email to Al Jesse but their site says that responses can take a while due to the volume of email they receive. :blast

If there are any tossers in the West Mids region with these panniers fitted I'd like to take a look if poss. :thumb

Just sent you a PM but realised that I should have read the post properly as I have a standard set of Jesses and not the modified ones you have bought. Ignore me. I don't know what I'm talking about. :blast

If you are riding an 1150 Lord Snooty why not go with a "stubby" pipe? I haven't seen any on a 12 yet but it's bound to be possible on them too. Easy, cheap solution. :)

Yes ...

Thanks Steve - anybody else out there with Jesse panniers?

... but the standard ones i'm afraid; however, not all is lost, try contacting Kiwi Bob, who is the European distributor for Jesses and generally very helpful !

jesse panniers

Try phoning them. I phoned when I had a problem and spoke to Al himself. He was very helpfull and seemed like a really nice guy too. :)
