Help - new front brake discs & now can't fit calipers

Fitted two EBC front discs and new pads to my '03 GSA but now when the wheel is fitted I can't get the calipers bolted back on, it's as if the discs are too large in diameter and they are fouling the internal caliper slot



The bike has the BMW calipers with the single centre screw and spring plate type pad retainers and the 320mm dia are the correct size discs according to the book and EBC for the bike but I wonder if the discs should be the 305mm dia ones ..

Any comments welcome .....

Measure the size of the ones you took off?

I'm doing bits and bobs each time get I back home and unfortunately I binned the old ones last time I was back so no comparison available ...

So, if you put the caliper onto the disc, does the bolt hole fall short of the thread on the fork leg, but is pushed fully against the disc?

if its any help my servo 1150 has discs that are 305mm diameter, its got bmw calipers.

There are two types of disc for the post 2002 1150, both have BMW calipers, but they are different .

The discs are different, and not many aftermarket suppliers know about it. And if they do know, they are still likely to get it wrong, because BMW seemed to be using up the 2124 disc and caliper here there and everywhere, because bikes that should have them don't, and vice versa.

The 2125 calipers use the same disc as the GS's with brembo calipers.

Very confusing. Thats why i used those pictures for the brake pad orders.

Discs should be 305mm. Can do you a good deal on TRW Lucas Alien wave discs.

it's clear I have the 2125 calipers which need 305mm discs ..
