I recently took advantage of the cheap autocoms and bought a super pro avi duo, everything works ok(phone,mp3,and rider to pillion)but since plugging in my street pilot 111 the sound has stopped working on it.I first checked with a seperate earpiece into the gps, still no good. Then i tried it in the car with the fag socket charger/mic,and that doesn't work either. So i think it must be something internal in the street pilot, has anyone got any ideas.
By the way if i press speak on the gps i just get a very slight buzzing noise for the length of time that it used to speak for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take it no one has had the same problem then.
13hrs since first posting this, remember its a very specific fault and may not have happened to anyone else

My advice wait a couple of days for some responses and if you still don't get any Then call Garmin and talk to them about sending it down for assessment?

Good Luck

Ok thanks.

Sucking eggs time, you have made sure the volume is turned up on the SP3 :)
Yes,volume is turned up.

but since plugging in my street pilot 111 the sound has stopped working on it.

I have an SP3 just like that . The sound was intermittent, then stopped working. Posted on here 12 months ago for technical help no replies!
Phoned Garmin £100 and they may be able to fix it. Went and bought a Zumo. You just reminded me Iv'e still got it. Think I'll take the back off and have a fiddle myself.
