the driveshaft on my 95 gs 100 pd needs replacing . problem is the bearings are out of phase . talked to the man at euroclassics but he says he can,t do anything with it . does anybody have a repairable one i could buy . or does anybody know if i can replace the whole swingarm wheel and shock with a mono rear end .
is this posible , if so how difficult .

or can anyone repair shockabsorber in original shaft .

ta .

Have you looked in the 'Search' facility? There's shedloads about driveshafts on there. Do you want to replace the one you have or get an improved version?

at the moment i dont realy know what i want to do . going through all the options . will try a search . cheers .

see thread 'driveshaft failure' further down

When I thought mine had failed I contacted Erich Demant, and was quite impressed with the info he sent
Cheers

ta

emailed guy today and got a reply straight away . think i,m goin to use him .
it only works out at about £240 , i think thats a good deal .
if i do it , when i get the shaft back i,ll post some photos .
thanks again .

ps

i,d still like to know if a monolever back end will fit .

Why would you want too

ps

i,d still like to know if a monolever back end will fit .

The cost of all the parts would out way the project

1/ you have just ordered a drive shaft that will out last the stock one.

2/ new shaft is not the same as a monolever.......

3/Rear wheel for Mono has a different stud pattern

4/ shock is different

Paralever good points.
Paralever rotates at the rear pivot to minimise the torque re-action from the diff ,which in turn means that when you twist the go leaver the bike will not rise as much as the mono (handling). This also works in reverse, when decelerating the bike does not sink on the suspension, unlike the mono.
