Help with Motech Engine bars

Hello all,

Today, I tried to fit my NippyNorman's Motech engine bars on my 1200GS.
Everything went fine for the bottom bolts (the one with very big bolts going were the Torks 55 bolts are) and for the middle segment , but the top bolts do not align where they should.

Anyone encountered same problems ?

Make sure you're aligning the top part to the correct place - I refitted mine last week and it's easy to think they go in one hole when in fact they go in the one behind it. Maybe that will help, maybe it won't!

Look at the large engine bolt which goes through the black steel recessed bracket.
You can see this both sides of the engine.
The top fixing goes just in front and slightly below this. On the left side it is just to the rear of the oil feed pipe to the oil cooler.

Don't tighten any of the bolts up until you've got them all in - worked for me.

Had help fitting mine and thank heavens I did! Bit of a bugger to fit re: alignment but on snug now! A bit of a clash as I have the TT head gauards as well, belt and braces maybe...

Mine went on OK with the BM aluminium cylinder guards, as previously don't tighten anything up until it is all connected, just followed the destructions..
