Can anyone give me a clue why my R1200GS should without any reason start running on one cylinder? My brother has had a look at it but between us we have limited knowledge. The bike is firing on the L/H cylinder so we have swoped some parts from one side to the other, ie spark plugs, both coils, and injectors but this has made no difference it still won’t run on the R/H cylinder. :nenau

Sounds like you have swapped just about everything possible to narrow down the problem, so - that only leaves:

1) Fuel blockage to the RHS injector :nenau

2) Lack of compression on RHS cylinder (valvegear/piston) :nenau

Can't think of anything else right now :o

Al

But there is a reason.

The information you recieve is usually in direct proportion to the information supplied.

So going by the info given by your good self. Could be anything, except the coils, injectors or plugs.

Could be the front tyre underinflated, then? :nenau

Come on Neil - it took the same effort for your post as it did for mine................ :nono

Al

I dont think its a fuel blockage to the injector cos when we took if off there was fuel pressure in the supply hose.thanks anyway Al,worth a try.:nenau
Cheers for the Constructive input Steptoe!
