Help with portable hardrive

Hi, i have a 250GB WD portable USB hardrive. I bought it to store video. When I try to drop video files a small as 7GB it will not take them. I get - NOT ENOUGH FREE SPACE. The drive is FAT32.
Any help much appriciated.

The other answers are correct. I have a 250gb WD portable the size of a cigarette pack and out of the box it comes as FAT32.

Information on these drives on the net suggest that they can be easily re-formatted to NTFS. NTFS is recommended for Win XP.
