Hi. Getting my Nav V this weekend, and I've just installed Scala Rider Q3 into my helmet.

I've read the handbooks but can't quite figure what will be needed to be connected to what for best performance.

Do I pair headset and Nav first, and then do I connect the phone to the Nav or to the headset. I hope I will be able to get the Nav directions into the helmet, but also see call info on the Nav screen, and answer the odd call using the spinny wheel on the bars.

A simple set up guide specific to my gear would be very much appreciated.

I have a Sena BT system. With that, you must first pair the phone to the Nav V.

Then you pair the Nav V to the headset, but you actually pair it as if it were a phone. Calls are then made via the Na V to the headset, you also get nav directions and music from the Nav V to the headset

(The Sena handbook/manual is very good in this regard, with a number of different diagrams explaining the various options.)

Thanks, this is helpful, but really would love to hear from anyone with the Scala Q3.

I have scala g9 so Im guessing similar. I paired the nav5 to g9 as gps and then paired phone to nav 5. This allows phone calls to be dialled or received using the nav 5. Nav 5 has access to to phone contacts list for dialing. Receiving a call appears on nav 5 screen. Also nav 5 music and gps instructions go through g9 headset.
