I bought my W reg 1150GS about a month ago and would like to learn a bit more about the servicing side (my dealer tells me they are happy to give me the service stamp if I change all the fluids and brake pads, etc., they only need to do the setup etc.); is there anyone in the Bristol/Forest of Dean area who would be prepared to spend a Saturday with me, helping me do the job (engine oil, transmission, filters, brake pads (if needed), etc., and imparting knowledge and expertise on a non-mechanic, in retun for a good, hearty soup, homemade cake, lots of teas and coffee and - if the weather is half reasonable - a ride into the Brecons afterwards? Oh, the bike has done around 28k miles, so next service is due at 30k miles, assume just after christmas (so it's just the right weather for outdoor servicing as I haven't got a garage.
