This style of question usually gets mixed responses and reactions as they're several ways you can fit it, Schtum mentions one method used by some here. There's also Migsel's solution http://www.migsel.com/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=58 which is used in conjunction with RAM parts (RAM-B-236 and RAM-B-201-A plus cradle base plate) and also you could use a mount RAM-B-149ZA (short arm).

Yes, IMV, a short arm when 2610 used.

Now to cradle, Garmin had a 2610 cradle and used 4 hole fix pattern, so RAM-B-202 or RAM-B-347 to attach onto it.

RAM has a cradle (RAM-HOL-GA9) and that used a diamond base, RAM-B-238.

Also Touratech had a cradle and to attach onto RAM, remove clips underneath and diamond base across two centreline screw holes, re-use screws from clip removal.

You may need to source a power lead, Garmin 010-10495-02 was for lead only, 010-10495-00 was cradle and lead as I recall.

This a general reply, but can be specific against your choice.

Wow thanks for the answers guys, lots to go away and investigate and appreciate the comments regarding power leads for the bike. Regards Paul :beerjug:

.....the cheapest and easiest solution is to use the BMW mount.
