Do you mean your desktop PC keeps losing connection with the wifi router?
What's the wiring bit that you'd been doing

Hard wire the PC from the router with an Ethernet cable. Also look at the instructions and make your router SAFE, WPA, firewall etc etc cause someone might be tapping in on your signal.

You've not given much info, so hard to guess
