Ello all,
We are coming down to stay in Helston for a weekend in early May with some friends who are coming all the way from Berlin and wanted some advice from the yokels :D We have booked a B&B so that bit is sorted, but was hoping for some advice on some good places to eat and perhaps some ride routes. I have been to Cornwall many times as my family orginate from Launceston, but never been down to the Lizard area, from research it looks lovely, so looking forward to a spin on the bike and seeing some great coastline and countryside.

Do you have some recomendations on a good restaurant? you know one of those special places :thumb

I know there have been a few ride outs from the area so could someone send a route for the GPS?

Finally if you see a German KTM990 Adv and an English 1200GSA bimbling around on the weekend of 9th/10th May come and say hello.

Cheers

David

I used to live on the Lizard a most beautiful place.

Get yourself over to Gunwalloe on the east and walk to Church Cove, climb up above church which is practically on the beach and see if you can find the steps cut into the cliff, climb down and watch the Atlantic sunset.

There's some stunning riding, make sure you ride the coast from Lands End up and past St. Ives then north following the coast beyond Hayle........now I want to go back live there again, I'll shut up

Thanks Tim, I'd love to live somewhere like that! Having spent every childhood holiday in Cornwall I got to know some areas quite well, but didn't really appreciate it until I went back as an adult. It is handy have a my half Brother and Sister still in Launceston and Bude :D
