The wife wants to buy me a helmet cam
The go pro is too big
I prefer the bullet type
So any good types which you have and use
Thanks Charles:beer:

I use Roadhawk - mounted to bars and connected to bike for power.

The video quality isn't the best by a long way but as one tosser's riding videos are as boring as the next, all I really use it for is collecting potential evidence in the event of a "coming together". Rather cleverly, the camera records on a constant loop so never needs resetting. Once the SD card is full it just starts again, wiping the oldest footage first.

About 1/4 of the cost of GoPro and comes with almost everything you need - cables, mounts etc etc - although I did buy a RAM mount to fix it to the handlebars.

I use the Drift ghost hd with fantastic results and highly rate this camera for helmet mounting... I also have the go pro too but is not the best camera for helmet use due to it sticking out too much ... Here is a quick video of my first time using it this Autumn ... http://youtu.be/mgnaQTfpBmI

This one is from a ride out with friends last Sunday .... Using the same camera ..

I have an old battered Contour 1080 HD and a new Gopro Black.
I like the phone app for the Gopro but hate it on my helmet (i don't use the big plastic case).
The quality of the Gopro recording even on 720 HD is stunning but my old Contour is not far behind and you wouldn't notice it on the helmet.
I nearly bought the Garmin and wish i did.
The Gopro is like a Meccano set with all the bits and bobs, you will also have to buy a load of extra bit and a charging point on the bike would be essental, the battery life is very short.

Yep that's one reason I bought the Garmin virb, really seems easy to use.

Just need some other mounts as I didn't fancy sticker one onto me newish GSA, it's a smaller item than I gave it credit for.

More detail when I fit to the bike.

So far I like the :

Easy of use out of the box.

Battery life seems good, but not fully tested.

Robust construction

Waterproof to one metre with no additional case.

Easy to download related software to edit your footage:aidan
