I've fitted my uber bright 35w LED spotlights to my bike wired in to come on with the high beam.

When listening to music though the zumo 660, if I flick high beam on the music cuts out (like it does when you speak). The Zumo still has power, but if the high beam is on, no music will come out of the headphones.

I thought it may be a low battery issue, but everything works fine. If I turn all the lights off, it still cuts out if I flash on the high beam :nenau

Tis a mystery.

Any ideas guys n girls?

Things going off when other things come on, is often a sign of a bad earth.
How are the spots earthed ? Is it to the frame ?

Temporarily substitue equivalent wattage incandescent lightsas a test and see if the issue persists.

If it does perhaps the LED's are emitting a radio frequency signal that is being interpretted as "mute" by your bluetooth(?) music machine.:nenau

Earth is to the battery. I don't think it's an earth because the unit isn't switching off, music just fades out like it would if you were talking.

Hadn't considered the bluetooth, will switch it of and try again.

Ok, so I have turned the bluetooth off and it still does the same. So I remove the mic lead and it now works fine:nenau

I can only think that the wiring for the led's is interfering with the mic lead once there is a bit of current running through it.

Next step is to rewire the intercom to keep all the wires away from the spotlight power leads.
