Well, after a lot of thinking and reading posts about Ricardo Kuhn's improved handle bar, I got one and finally had it installed. I've been reading a lot about how improved handling you get, and how comfortable you are, but let me tell you folks something..... until you have one, there is NO WAY YOU WILL KNOW HOW INCREDIBLE THESE BARS ARE !!

After the mechanic put the bar on (about 2 hours - since I've got heated handle bars) he asked me to sit on the bike so he could do the final adjustments (the bar can be adjusted). The moment I held on to the bar I felt like "I'M HOME" !! It just felt natural, very comfortable.

All the folks at the garage came to have a look. Everyone loved the look of the bar. It gives the bike a new look.

When I drove the bike home, I almost crashed, since the bike handling is far more direct than previously. Just zigzaging along the road was different, far faster and directer. The position I sit in is perfect now, more comfortable and I feel much more in control.

I just sent Ricky an email asking for another set since I've got two GSs....

Since I'm not a sponsor (yet - due to no paypal or uk cheques) I can't post a photo yet. You'll need to wait until I get back tp Paris tomorrow so I can upload to a server. (Or I'll post this message on advrider.com with the photo).

I've you're on the bench waiting to see if you're going to buy the bar, I'd can only strongly endorse the product. You'll not be sorry.....

OK, I'm back in Paris and have now uploaded 2 photos so you can see: - the handlebar is narrower than the original.

The angle is adjustable, there's even an indicator on the bar.

looks good - is all the 'signage' on the bars permanent or stickers? Do not really like that (although minor in the big picture). How did you find the consultation with Ricki went over a distance ie not being able to meet with him etc.
I believe he does much counseling!

so how much are them there bars then? i've never been *completely* happy with the standard set-up on mine, but never enough of a problem to jump the wishlist queue. techlusion, can, gps, seat, k&n, etc, etc, etc!!! but if the price is right......

They're sticker, was just too lazy to take'em off.

The communications with Ricky was great. I did spend a lot of emails, took, on his request, photos sitting as much as I could in the rear of the riders seat, against the tank and standing, photos from the side and the front. Ricky wants to know all sorts of measures, and also your type of riding (ie aggresive, slow, etc).

His advice is great.....

Check out his web site, there some pricing info there, but it'll depend on the type (ie adjustable or not). Goes for about 350 to 375 USD (and the $$$$ is low at this moment)

I should have put these on the first, before all the gadgets. My back will have been much better, as would have been by hands...
