Hertfordhsire Green Lanes 21st April ?

I've my kids on Sunday so it's got to be a Saturday for me this weekend.

I now plan to start at 9:30 from the Rookery cafe... The ride will be 100 miles with a target time of 4 hours, How many takers do we have?

I've done the one from Wild Hill to near Essendon but didn't do the first bit from the end of Woodside Lane to Wild Hill because when I did it on a pushbike a few years ago it was very deeply rutted. I've also done the one from Cucumber Lane to Newgate St, and then on to White Stubbs Lane and then on to Bayford, and from Brickendon to Mangrove Lane. And that's it, so I reckon I've got a lot of catching up to reach your total!!

The Woodside end is fine the ruts have long gone

I'm still up for this if you think there are enough to make it worthwhile. Just hope I won't be too slow....

Looks like it will be dark horse and myself... did you see the later start at 9.30.
Dark horse, I assume you know where the Rookery Cafe is?

looks like I'll be taking the 1150... it arrived back today from repairs/service (£794 ouch!) from my last off road outing so it would seem right to get it back where it belongs; in the dirt.

t'was my 1150 not the DRZ.

Full end to end service and check up of bearings etc..

Clean out of all the dirt left over from the dunking.

New fuel filter, alternator belt, brake fluid change

Set of TKC's

New starter motor as somehow I'd cracked the housing on the last one

New speedo drive as I seemed to have worn through the other one and allowed the drive wire to rust solid in the outer case

I suppose I should also add the cost of the Odessy battery £85

My erm, "negotiations" to attend have not gone in my favour. Apparently I'm tidying the garden/house before we go away on Sunday for a few days.

Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one :thumb2

Thanks for leading us out on a splendid day on the lanes Wreford. It was great fun and I hope I didn't slow you down too much. It's given me a load more ideas for variations on my route home from work too.
