i had the ultra classic ,with the tour pack ,and speakers in the rear chair etc ,its easy to take it off ,and the speakers just unplug from a cable .
its not a five minute job ,but its not to long.
or should i say its not something you would want to do on a daily basis .

Detachable Tour Pak

Roger,

Make sure you buy the locking kit for the QD rack. Stops thieving scrotes walking off with the £1000 top box!

ALso IIRC, HD does a QD loom so you can unplug the Tour Pak quickly; sounds like Jackass Dave had that.

Lastly, you can buy/make a wall rack to clip the Tour Pak to so it doesn't get scratched/trampled-on.

One of many good sites to spends hours trawling through FLHT porn - http://www.eglidegoodies.com

Enjoy!

As andysdad says you do need the additional wiring loom kit as there are a number of plugs you need to solder into the loom. In addition it's worth getting the short aerials so you don't take your eye out, and the locking kit for the quick release as a Tourpak is big money.

You'll also need another saddle as the glide saddle looks meh :barf

Here's mine:
