Hi All from Crewe

Being lurking and searching here for a few weeks now gathering info,

I currently ride a GSX650F its a great bike but I want something like the Versys I had 2 years ago but with more power and bigger frame.

I am looking for a bike to last me at least 5-8 years and the GS range fits my brief, don't know yet if its the 1200 or 800 need to test ride them to make my mind up.

A few questions
Will BMW dealers discount on the listed price?
What have you guys paid for a 2010 1200GSA and 800GS

ps: No, hugely doubtful unless you have bought many bikes from the same dealer.

Welcome galaxy. After the test ride you'll find the 800 is much more like the Versys than a1200. Either way, buy one and enjoy it.

Hopefully going Chester BMW tomorrow to test ride them, I do like the 800 in the 30 year anniversary colour.

if you want a close nose over a 1200GSA give me a shout I,m over in Congleton

buy from a reputable dealer

negotiate on extra bits rather than discount

ride it for 5 - 6 years

buy something else
