Popped in to say hello :beerjug: I am the proud owner of an 06 Gold Wing and 02 RSV 'R'. I'm very lucky to have the best of both worlds but I am looking to trade one of them for a 1200 GS :clap I'm only 5'8'' with a 29 inch inside leg so am guessing the Adv would be to big for me :nenau. Anyway gonna nip down to my local dealer and see what he's got. I test rode a 1200 a couple of years back and loved it but decided on the Wing :eek:

You might be pleasantly surprised re the height of the bikes, low seat option or after market (narrower) seats make quite a difference.

Click on 'User CP' at the top of the page, there are then various 'edit' functions down the left hand side of the page - one of those will allow you to change your profile (I think?)

I dont think you can change your own username.
You may need to squirt off a note to admin.(BHT)
 
Blimey Don, hell of a user name there ... can you email admin@ukgser addressing your email to Paul G (BHT) : User name change request.

He'll look out for it and should be able to accommodate your request.

Went to my local dealer today and had a look at several 1200's and Adv models. Well the Adv is er big but it was very comfy and I could just reach the ground The GS was a lot er smaller and must say I liked the look of both. I was offered a test ride but didn't have the time or gear so will be going to the launch of the 08's early next year. Looking forward to that. Not sure I can make my mind up as to why anyone would really want the big boy unless you need the extra tank range but maybe I'm missing the point :blast

Good idea I have always been happy to pay my way and although I haven't been here long I am pleased with what I've seen so far :D How much is it?
