Hi - my name is Mike, and I've just bought a rather nice 1999 R1100GS in Kalahari Yellow - 29k miles, and full luggage.
Spent the last couple of weeks fitting an alarm - autoswitch and FF50 lights - new LH cam chain tensioner - adjusted the valve clearances - balanced the TB's, and yesterday reset the TPS - together with the original exhaust refitted, instead of a Remus can and silencer - this together has transformed the throttle response, which was a bit fluffy just off idle.
Also fitted an MRA Vario screen - but haven't had a chance try it out yet!
Also have a set of H&B engine bars ready to fit - but waiting for an alternator belt, which I will fit before the bars are on.
Have several other bikes, including a nice 2005 R850R - and an old R60/7.
