Hi
I have been looking at these and wonder if any one has fitted one of these and do they make a different .They look like you run the cables in parallel with the old ones ,I would have thought your would have removed the cables not left them in place .

I thought you were asking about HID.
If you mean headlamp leads for better output, the best bet is a Les Wassal HID or the latest generation H7 LED bulb with fan tail head sink.

Haven't tried them and TBH I can't see what improvement they are supposed to give - If the thing starts first time every time with plain old BMW battery cables, what difference are super-duper oxygen-free ones (or whatever special snake oil they claim to use) going to make?

Total snake oil for starter performance though some people might like the look of daylgo silicone cables.

The OEM starter cables are more than big enough and any heating effect (increasing resistance) will be minimal as the starter runs for only a few seconds at worst.
Make sure the OEM cable crimped ends are not loose or corroded and just use the bike. Also see the recent Hex Head post about fitting new starter brushes. http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/409712-Sluggish-starting-Might-not-be-the-battery
