So through my work I get presented with lots of new products, most of which I discard, but these HID fog lights caught my eye.

Some specs:
Power: 35w or 55w
Bulb Temperature: 35w - 3500k to 12000k / 55w – 4300k to 12000k
Ballast: 35w slim, 55w digital with internal starter
Dimensions: 78mm wide by around 133mm long
Aluminium housing

I have a few sets on order which are expected to land next week. I’ll be putting a set on my bike to test and the other two are up for grabs.

Estimated price is around the €139 (approx £120) a pair mark which includes Republic of Ireland (ROI) VAT @ 21%. If you are VAT registered I can sell ex VAT as long as they are shipping outside the ROI. Non-EU customers are VAT exempt.

Can take Paypal gift, bank transfer, credit card or cheque (ROI only).

More photos as and when I get them.

What is the quality of these like?
They look like DEs, i presume they are a chinese copy.

They're certainly a lot cheaper than a set of HIDded DEs

The manufacturer is very confident about their quality using the words "waterproof, dustproof and quakeproof" and from what independant reviews I've read about their other HID lights, I tend to believe them.

Yes they do look like the DE's and as with probably the majority of HID lights and conversion kits (along with most electronic consumer goods these days), they are manufactured in China.

But the proof will be in the pudding as they say. First batch due around this day next week when I'll be doing a full non-bike mounted review followed by bolting them on my own 1100GS. I'm also hoping to have a set with a very respected member of the forum, from which I hope he will give a very honest opinion.

A correction to my first post.

Both the 35w and 55w ballasts come in either slim with external starter or normal size digital with internal starter.

Here is an example of what I mean (left normal, right slim):

OK, found them, particularly like "can bring the car more bright"

I'm definitely interested in a pair of these.

So the first few sets arrived today and I've taken some crappy phone photos. The light is around 5ft from the wall to give an idea of the beam.

Just seen your pictures - what is the quality like?

I think the quality is very good. Bloody bright too - I looked into one like an idiot the other day and was seeing spots for hours.....

Here's some shots with the HID light beside a Hella Micro DE and below the two different sized ballasts:

Even with the ballats being slim you can still get the same amount of power? The lights doesn't look duller?
