Has anyone bought the Hideout leathers Hi-Pro textile suit and used it for some time? On paper it looks really good and is full CE rated. It's a log of money but could replace my ageing Rukka ArmaS suit. Any feedback gratefully received :-))

They're £1500 for off the peg sizes (cost is fit the jacket and trousers) and I would guess you could probably add another £500 for bespoke size and additional items such as pockets etc.

On the basis that one should buy from people (whom you can look in the eyeball) rather than just product (Finnish-designed & assembled in China?), why don't you toddle up to Motorcycle Live at the NEC and meet the Hideout directors. They're a great bunch.

Made to measure is no good for tossers, we need a suit that expands around the waist by around an inch a year

I agree. We've only ever bought bespoke Leathers from Hideout - always excellent quality, good fit, great attention to detail. We have thought about, but never acted upon the urge to have one of their textile suits though. - stuck with a BMW Tourshell at present, which does the job pretty well.

Just go & see Kate at the Birmingham Show.

I am as guilty as the next man, buying suits designed in Europe, but made in a sweat-shop in the Far East somewhere. These bespoke manufacturers in the UK deserve our support.

Wish I'd known about this before spunking £850 on a Rukka. Happy with it but agree with others, I would have preferd to give the money to a British company.

It's decided. Im heading to the bike show to have a look at the Hi Pro suit and have a chat with Hideout
