hids - they can hurt

I'd extended the wiring on my HID set-up to allow me to have the ballasts under the tank where the abs pump would sit. When installing a 3rd HID ballast i pulled on the wiring a bit by accident.. unknowingly pulling the heat shrink slightly off the cable.. at s later on my light stopped working. Wasnt sure what it was so got home, tank off and fiddling around with the ballast thinking it had gone duff... FOOK me does it give you a belt if the wires are shorted out. Ever been tazered? Id imagine its akin to that b******. After recovering the feeling in my arm i found the problem.

oh and shorted out wires a nice arc in the bulb carrier area thats very good at melting stuff. All fixed now with double heat shrinking done.

Just be careful lol.

dunno but i megger meterd him once
run the wires through silicone tubing, available at pet shops, (air tubing) and seal the ends next time
