HID's

I'm about to trade my 1100S in for a new GS. I've fitted an HID conversion to the S (H1 and H7 bulbs) I can get different bulbs, I think the GS takes 2 H1's? Does anyone have any ideas where to mount the ballast boxes, I've done a quick search and can only find pics of auxilary lights with the ballasts mounted under the beak, looks a bit vulnerable to me

If you've been sensible and not bothered with abs there's a big hole behind the alternator where the pump gubbins would've gone. Otherwise you can get one box on the headstock under the tank, as for the other...

B*astard! Hangs head in shame, getting a GS cos I can't trust myself on the S any more, going too fast everywhere! Got to say, having had a test ride on a GS, it is a MUCH better road bike than the S. Wouldn't stand a chance on a trackday though!

I just hope the GS has the desired effect although I'm sure it won't be long before you're exploring it's limits and upsetting yet more wok joks.
