High Mileage harleys....lets see 'em

He's got it listed as 95 BHP...a typo I think!

My everyday ride is a Panhead. I have put about 20,000 miles on it in the last 5 years, including an annual 'D' roads trip to Annecy.

1996 - 94,450 miles! ( 8 owners:eek:) It had 83,000 on it when i bought it....in the last 11,000 miles i have really grown to love it..

I've just added a dark tint 4" screen, and removed even more chrome since this picture was taken....

it is now an almost spot on replica of a street glide!

My new to me Road King 80,000+ and feels very smooth and comfortable, if it had had 20k on the clock i'd have believed it! I've put a few hundred miles on it in the last couple of weeks, really enjoying it!

At a mere 50k mine doesn't really count as high mileage. 1989 Electra glide sport

Only around 25K on mine.

Last year I stopped for gas in Nevada (I was on my F650GS Twin) and a rider on an 04 Electra Glide Standard pulled in. Looking it over I noticed it had the stock exhaust and was actually almost totally stock other than a solo seat and the air box. He'd bought in new and just turned over 150,000 miles that week. I asked what he'd done to it over those 150K? He said he's on his 3rd rear cylinder header "Y pipe" and the stock tensioners and oil pump were changed somewhere around 50,000 miles, other than that gasoline, oil, tires, and brake pads. He changes oil about every 5K and it goes to the dealer "once every year or two just be checked over". The motor has never been opened up it even had the original drive belt.
