I was on my way home after a brisk 150 miles ride around the York area on my 2003 1150Gs when a strange thing happened.
Pulled upto the traffic lights and pulled in the clutch and the revs went up to approx 4000rpm. I tried the usual, cables displaced, butterflies closing etc but to no avail. Bike wasn't overheating. I did have the heated grips on the first setting which I turned off a couple of minutes earlier.
So after stop/start - engine on/off at every bloody traffic light I came to I pulled over for a good poke around
. Couldn't find anything obvious so decided to pull the Motronic fuse and reset it. Well that seemed to cure it but could be a coinsidence. Will have to see if it happens again.
Anyone had this happen to them and what was the outcome?
