Higher speed/load hesitation 1100GS

Have done a search but mostly found this problem with the 1150 coil sticks so...

More noticable two up, when I give it the berries say for an overtake I can feel a slight hesitation in the power delivery.

Not like a misfire or a stutter or typical low speed hunting, just a sort of non linear power delivery. The bike will pull through this, but it seems a new issue so I would like to deal with it if it is symptomatic of something about to fail.

Filters were renewed at the end of last year along with the plugs. Throttle bodies are balanced and the valves are OK.

I had this on a previous bike.....

Might be a dodgy plug, or have you changed the fuel filter ever? maybe as the higher demand for fuel as you apply said berries, the fuel pump might be struggling to keep up. might be on it's way oot that was the problem with my last bike....

Well I suppose changing the plugs is cheap enough, but it does seem to be a load thing. Changed the filter, but that was last year and I'm pretty sure it's all OK.

The voltage required for a spark to cross a gap rises as pressure increases, and cylinder pressure increases when you open the throttle and reduce the restriction on the air going in. So your symptom could be plugs (or, I suppose, coil).

My 1100 used to be a bit like this. K&N filter made it worse so re-fitted standard type and NGK Iridiums certainly made a difference.
