I have searched the web but am not finding any particularly clear definition -

What are the differences between the Legend, Adventurer and Thunderbird?

The Thunderbird Sport speaks for itself, but what about the other three models?

Cheers!

I think so... part of my confusion comes from the fact that these bikes are about 26 years old now, so the majority I see on ebay have non-original bars, seats... and sometimes mudguards and pipes too. It's quite hard, therefore, to be certain what an original one would have looked like.

Thunderbird was the glitzy version

Adventurer was the Thunderbird with the Harleyesque rear fender & mini apes

Legend was the Thunderbird (Low) that had a black motor like the TBS

All 900's have a very high interchangeability of parts hence why it can get confusing

If you're interested in a project Paul I have a mate in Egham who has a Thunderbird (or it might be an Adventurer?) fitted with a 1200cc 4 cylinder motor out of a Trophy which desperately needs rescuing :D

Thanks Paul, that would be a little (!) beyond my skill set!!!
