EVIP Damage Waiver ?
VIP Damage Waiver ?
Supplemental Liability Insurance - $1M ?

pay for EVIP. I rented from Eaglerider, a Road King from Boston - Halifax - Vancouver - Seattle in 2009. 17 year old kid in his Daddy's new Jeep Cherokee wiped out the Harley I was sitting on. Eaglerider arranged for another new Road King, p/u from Chicago to continue on via Saskatchewan... no charge.

I don't think you need $1M third party, just $300k. But could be wrong...

I was advised by them to take EVIP Zero as there is no excess and consequently no comeback when you hand back the motorcycle. I also took out the higher rate of SLI as things get very expensive out there very quickly, the difference in cost was minimal.

I'd also echo the comments about service and support from Eaglerider. We had an issue with the lock on the TourPak this time. We just dropped into an Eaglerider centre in Flagstaf and they fixed it on the spot, had they not been able to fix it we'd have been given another bike. They also Fed Exed our excess baggage from LA to Las Vegas for $21 for two cases and we picked them up when we dropped off the bike.

This is the second time I have used them and I am impressed with the whole set up. Both times I have booked a bespoke tour and they have sorted hotels and routes for me. I'll use them again

HC will also give you advice on routes, etc.

I have every confidence in Eaglerider, I haven't read a singe bad thing. Its great to have total confidence in such an important element of the trip.

Cost wise, I did some simple calculations on rental costs between HC Travel and Eaglerider, I'll have to check again but HC Travel did seem for expensive? we'll have to wait and see

I've rented direct from Eaglerider and easy to deal with. What I liked was their attitude when I picked the bike up from Phoenix. Very helpful and knowing I was an HD virgin, they let me try a couple to see which one I wanted.

Yes, I do know HC didn't organise my flight, I get 'em much cheape.. The real big plus is the no deposit on your card. Another plus is they're ABTA, booking with ER direct wont be. I can also pop into HC if I want to talk to a human.

Any price difference is usually down to fluctuations in the exchange rate. If the exchange rate improves, the HC Travel price works out more expensive unless they adjust the Sterling price on their website
