I have the Hogtunes ‘Big Ultra’ on my 2010 Ultra Classic fitted a few years ago and all was well and good. One day, I got no sound and thought maybe I had touched a button setting, but no.
Support said to check the 4x associated fuses, the amp power light is on and fit the front speaker plug connection to the bypass socket. Fuses OK, power light is off (obvious) when switching on radio/CD player and no sound from the bypass connection.
Double checked all amp socket plugs had not come out and OK.
Checked the orange wire for power and is OK via the ciggie lighter. I still get sound from the tank console connection to helmet speakers as maybe this bypasses the amp.
Am I missing something?
Could the fault be from the HK radio/CD player sending a signal to the amp to switch on?
Can these amps be repaired or an alternative bought that uses the Hogtunes plug connections?
These systems are not cheap.
The amp has a cooling fan on the top and when the radio/CD player is switched on, does not spin.
Maybe the experts here can solve this problem.
Thanks all.
