I have got a small hole in my 1100 gs oil cooler, can it be repaired ?
Soldered ? Etc.
Anyone had this problem before ? How did you fix it ?

cheers
Dave

Are they not made of aluminium?

Where's it leaking from, the core or the tank?

Probably best to get a new one in the long run.

What's jb welding then?

Oilcooler

I bodged mine with plastic metal when stuck in a foreign land (Sweden) got a s/h like new from Motor Works £50. Repair ok but still had a slight mist out of it so kept it for a spare.

Don't waste your time repairing something like an oil cooler.
It's a fairly crucial part and will leave you fecked when the repair fails.

+1

The price for a SH cooler is a little more than the repair itself.
