After a few years of visiting friends in New Jersey and using their bikes to take a ride on, I thought it was about time I bought my own out there...an FLHT Electra Glide. Can't believe how cheap they are compared to UK used prices!

Not importing it back to UK but could in future - I've bought it to keep out here (New Jersey) to use when I visit friends out here.

Didn't have time to spend weeks searching for the perfect one so went for one that fitted my budget. This is a 2002 FLHT Electra Glide, 42k miles, new tires, new brake pads, lots of extra chrome, just been serviced, seems mechanically sound. Tour Pak (top box) being sorted...hinge busted.

What did it cost me...$6500 = £4200

i would say that its a real bargain at that price ,and it looks pretty tidy .

God bless America and $2 = £1 like in the old days.
Deals on wheels over yonder as there are a few big HD stores selling 100's of used bikes in the US.

And with a friend and relative over there, it makes sense. But, I could only visit maybe once every 2 years as the countries appeal as a destination of travel and interest is limited. And it is getting more expensive as well.

Did borrow a Laverda Jota in Utah once of my old school pal, it was the way to get around the hills and valleys.
