I would suggest that it is possible - only from experience.
If you've thought about it seriously and are committed to doing the run, then there is no need for me to tell you the wondrous capabilities of the C90. Except to you wish that you succeed and complete the task.
My only comment would be to include something like a sheepskin to sit on...:blast

Speak to The Dogs Nuts of this parish, or Wully. They did a similar run in its entirety last year.

no need to move it from here, it may be worthwhile opening another thread in another location if you don't find an answer here, some folks are too scared to look in here as a rule.....:D

You'll do it no problem - 1 day gives you 24 hours so 5 days gives you 120 hours which is an average of just under 8.5 miles per hour for 1000 miles.:augie

or 6 hours 40 minutes a day at 30mph average + stops. That should be doable.

You won't be likely to have any breakdowns on C90's.:thumb2

as long as the bike is in good running order you will do it easy
just don't thrash the Erse off it
me and one of my old mates this was around 25 year ago went from Dalkeith Midlothian to the Muir-of-ord up past Inverness and back in a day
me on a Suzuki GP100 him on a Honda c70 around 370 miles i seem to remember all that to see his cousins new Yamaha RD 250 LC :drool :D

I used to do Edinburgh to Ellon (around 125 miles) on my C90 in 3.5 hours stopping only for fuel. Scarey when wagons went past and sometimes very wet but a lot of fun. Had a top box and saddle bags, no screen.

No problem, I used a C90 to do the knowledge of London, (black cab knowledge) used to go out at 9 am every day 100 mls back home to study with a mate by 1 pm so double that would not be too much of a problem in a day as I was stoppin to look at stuff.
Seat would be the only issue as said before sheepskin or airhawk :thumb2
I was glad to get rid of it at the time, but it was a great machine 40mph cruising easy, 55 max but it will hold max speed all day long, as long as there wasn't any hills :augie
Best bit getting pegs down round hyde park corner :D and crawling past, but passing never the less, 50cc moped boys with all race cans etc etc.
sorry getting all nostalgic, have fun :beerjug:

Jok, as an alternative view to Dazzle's, my experience of C90's is that they will do about 45 max mph for the averagely built tosser - but they will do that all day.
While it is expected that they will do about 100 mpg, I think that the most we got out of a tank was about 75-80 miles. Now, I accept that for some of my journeys we had pretty poor quality petrol, but 75-80 miles is a couple of hours on one of these things, and if you don't have a sheepskin or some alternative seating arrangement, then 2hrs is long enough, imo.
There are, however, a variety of new riding positions experimented by myself and the others who were part of the group I was with, which work and help ease the bum ache. I have publicly said that having ridden the C90 and the distances we covered, I will never complain about my GS saddle again, ever!
We had standard C90's, my last one bought off a fellow tosser. Mine had a top-box and saddle bags, as did the majority of my companions.
IHTH!:beerjug:
