Great little bikes , especially with e-clutch for only £100 extra .
Bought one at a discounted price recently

Lovely inline four with perfect fuelling and e-clutch is like the best quick shifter ever but it won’t stall at the lights . Still has conventional cable clutch but e-clutch kicks back in a few seconds after you use clutch in normal way .
Plenty of poke at 96bhp.

Nice new orange for 2026

(Only started thread as realised there wasn’t one dedicated to the model )

Ps.

My ownership will be short lived as I’m trading it for CB1000F in March.
Just fancied an inline four again and got a good deal .

Would definitely keep it if CB1000 not on horizon

Hey Arsey, nice looking bike! I went window shopping today with a view to buying a second bike to complement the GSA. Something light, slightly playful, but refined or interesting, I prefer classic looks and it must have a relaxed riding position and affordable. I've shortlisted (I think) down to just two. The Trident 660 (I don't need anything as big as the incoming 800 which is likely out of my PCP range anyway) and this, the 2026 CB650R. I have a demo ride arranged for Friday.

I think both the 660 and 650 will have enough real world power on our roads and I'm looking forward to how that inline four will sound when pushed. The build quality of the Honda looked great, very refined, the Trident (just sitting on) seemed very much smaller, and though I know the Triple will give me more power everywhere, I like the idea of a smaller IL4 with a power band that I can play with in 2nd and 3rd on the Dorset twisties.

I know yours is a stop gap but how's yours stacking up for you?

I’ve not ridden it much due crap weather . But it puts a smile on my face every time I do ride it .
My CB1000F is delayed till at least June so I’ll have the 650 longer .

The inline 4 needs revving to get a shift on but it’s very smooth .

I think you’ll like it but the Trident will have more midrange

Trident can also be had a very good price right now. I think so its sales don't stagnate due to 800. The CB thou F looks a very nice toy

The Honda CB650R was what got me biking again in 2019. Bought one brand new for all of £6k! 6 months later I bought my first GS and the rest is history.

First Welsh tour with my father in law.

Yes, it is a very fine machine indeed and very affordable new. It may not appeal to all but I think it's one of the best looking bikes in the category. I feel it will complement the GSA well and would be a lot handy for nipping around on.

Cracking bike. Nice can too
