Hopp Cadwell tuesday 12 th july

Nope! But enjoy. Pace yourself! you've got all day ..... ;)

Did it on my Transalp before I got the GS. The Hopps are excellent trainers, you will love it. When u get to lap on your own, keep absolute concentration at all times otherwise you may end up doing some off roading.....:augie nuff said.

The first of many

my first time on track. anyone from here going? can't wait :JB

davnjud -- Hopp days are nothing like run of the mill track days -

"Track day" = average number of "offs" - 24

Hopp "Better Riding Day" = average number of "offs" - less than 1

Source = Motorcycle Marshals Association

Mart is rightly proud of his safety record, and is keen to see people enjoying the day, extending their riding, and riding home from the circuit. You'll be nervous, excited, thrilled, gob-smacked that you are capable of so much more than you thought, and exhausted at the end of the day - with a grin from ear to ear - you'll also meet some new friends.

Enjoy it, you'll be back for more.

All the best, Jim.

ps. - I'll be riding my Megamoto, but several of the other instructors will be on their GSes - a perfect bike on which to both learn and enjoy Cadwell.

+1 to all of that :thumb2 :thumb2

all the above proved to be correct. slowing from 100 mph to 70 mph and then getting back onto the gas up the hill for charlies, flip flopping though hall bends , tyres like a brillo pad and leaning more and confidently on a lovely smooth surface with no oncoming - what a blast.

7 twenty minute sessions each 1 hour apart was more than enough. the 4 supervised sessions were confidence building but plenty challenging . I was in the fastest group of the first timers and lets be honest overtaking a few people for the first time on race track in the free riding sessions is a pretty good feeling. it was also a good feeling going up the pit lane at 5pm knowing I had survived the day with myself and 2011 bike fully intact.

Cadwell can bite - there were a couple of offs in the free riding session - one guy broke a collar bone - but overall it was a very safe confidence building and supportive atmosphere. lots of friendly banter with people who had been complete strangers at the beginning of the day.

very glad to have gone this route for my first time on track and would recommend to anyone
