Dear All, I’m buggering about with my mates 2001 R1150R and the horn isn’t working.

I’ve tried a second switch assy (coz they seem to fail after a while). No joy.

I then went direct from the battery to the horn and that worked!

Relay clicks when horn is operated.

I’m kinda thinking there’s a break in the wire somewhere?

Would massively appreciate any help from anyone much brainier than me on things to test and try!

Have changed the relay? Just because it clicks, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s working.

Trace & test the wires/connectors for continuity first, before spending money. Simple enough with a meter & a patient logical approach.

When it comes to 19 y/o bikes, I'm always suspicious of any old wiring that gets pushed/pulled around as the bars move, or connectors placed where they could corrode easily.
