Hi

Can anyone recommend a biker friendly Hotel or camp site for Madrid and then Gibraltar.

Thanks

stayed at the cannon hotel in gib a few times.very basic but friendly staff, and you can park your bike outside the door.probably the cheapest in gib,and right in the center of town.j

Madrid

Stayed there a couple of years ago and spent a couple of nights in the Etap. It's a little bit out of town, but it's very cheap, had underground parking for the bikes and it's right next to the tube station, so you're in central Madrid in about 10 minutes. If you check the Etap website, you'll find it no problem.

About Gibraltar you got a couple of suggestions.

Madrid (and surroundings) are quite big. What do you plan doing there?
if you give some more information maybe I could tell you something?

Only really passing through on my way to Morocco. Leaving Santander at lunchtime evening and night in Madrid then onto Gibraltar. Want to camp as close as possible to the centre so can have a look around that evening. Any suggestions? Cheers.

All the camps I know are really far from the center.
I use to stay in a hotel, not too expensive and in a good location:

it is near the airport, so easy to get in the rounds of MAdrid M-40.
have a garage and is comfortable. Also the Metro is very close so you use it to visit MAdrid.

you could take a look here:

hope this helps
