i want address of hotels that i can just turn up on speck as i booked hotels last year & did not get there cost me a fortune not going to pre book as just want to go where i feel like going
As long as you cancel with 24 hrs notice there's usually no charge with Bookings.com.... We planned the route to make sure it was do-able... always got there ...

Brasov- consider staying 2 (or even 3 nights) and do the Transfagarasan without luggage. If there's not a lot of you, contact mikeccm on the Hubb (Horizons Unlimited). He can offer B&B on an informal basis to bikers and will be flexible on dates. Great guy and a mine of local information. Don't try and beat him on the pass...it will probably end in tears 
Just into Bulgaria, not that cheap but a quiet and luxurious stop with fantastic food a days ride from Istanbul:

Used a few hotels around Transylvania over the last few weeks plus a great campsite in Sighisoara.
No problem getting in any hotel and the most we paid for a 4 star was £24.00 for a double with breakfast.
Camping Aquarius in Sighisoara is virtually in the town. Very small but has huge open air swimming pool, loads of room for sunbathing and a bar at the usual cheap prices (80p for s pint of Becks). Use of fridge and cooker in kitchen with dining room next to it for when weather is poor. Also is secure at night. Cost about £7.00 per night for two.
Found it via Archies Camping POIs but it is signposted in the town.

Stayed in the Aro Palance in Brasov five years ago. Not the cheapest place but negotiated a price of €55 a night for three nights at the time I was there.
