How big a Schuberth?

I fancy a Schuberth lid, but no one in Aberdeen seems to stock them. I am happy to buy one mail order, but I obviously need to get the size right.

I presently have a 57cm Shoei TXR that fits, and a medium BMW series 3 Evolution. Now, a 57cm Schuberth is classed as a "small", which sounds worryingly...small.

Has anyone else moved successfully from a 57cm Shoei to a 57cm Schuberth? Are the sizes compatible?

Thanks.

I am currently using a 57cm Schoei & this weekend (hopefully) trying on a 57cm Schuberth that has just arrived at my dealers. I will let you know if the 'fit' is the same.

My 59cm Shoei TXR seems to equate to a 61cm Schuberth Concept, which I'm selling (brand new - still in box) as I can't seem to get used to it.

When I get around to it I'll be putting an ad in the For Sale section.

How do you get used to it if it's brand new and still in the box?

What colour is it and how much do you want for it?

Send me a pm or email

don`t do it

All our heads are a little bit diferent so make the trip and try a helmet on, its in your best interest. Iv got a 59 head but tried sizes from small to XL in different helmets, makes and they all fitted!!.l so try it on.:helmet

NOISY !

Sorry to b a downer, but i plus others have found them to be noisy even with ear plugs.....

Bilks.

DITTO . . .

I only wear mine now when I need to use bike-to-bike intercom because my headset is all fitted inside. Otherwise, the noise and turbulence spoil an otherwise excellent helmet: very comfortable, great peripheral vision, good sun visor, good venting.

In answer to my own question...it turns out that BikeSmart on King Street, Aberdeen, are stocking Schuberth helmets.

For reference, a head that is suited to a 57cm Shoei TXR seems to fit a 58/59cm (Large) Schuberth helmet. But it is best to try one one first...
