I'm doing some video editing of my trip to the Alps last summer and I'd love to feature some maps showing my routes, but rather than just static, I'd like to create a coloured moving line along the route.

Is there a fool-proof easy way of doing this?

route visualizations

Hi Andy

I was looking into this for a long while myself, found various suggestions from people.. google maps, Adobe Premiere Gradient Wipe etc...

but the best and easiest way is the new Corel Video studio 12

choose a picture, press record, draw line, press play

it produces a very professional looking route visualization...

here is a link to the website, they do a free trial...

there also exist websites where such programs can be downloaded without restrictions........ but I dont know anything about them :augie

in fact here is a quick run of a transition..

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Bq9NvX2zuX8&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Bq9NvX2zuX8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
