How Do I Blog?

Hi Gang,

I'm off soon on a long trip and wonder how to blog it.

I'd like something simple enough for a techno-dolt like me can handle, I can add in Go-pro type vids and photos, and maybe have variable access so that I can have family comment on a part that wouldn't be public.

Is there an idiot's guide to blogging that I can use? I haven't seen one here yet.

Goto blogger.com it's a Google product so if you have a Gmail account it will work with that too if not then sign up. It will let you do everything you want and more and is completely free unless you want it to work with a personal Web address.

Should also say there is an android app to make it easy on phone or tablet. There is an iOS app as well if your with Apple.

Do you mean use blogger.com and then post it here?

Ideally I'd like to post pics and notes but have two places to respond; one public and one restricted where family news can be sent and received.

I guess whatI'll do is have a public blog and then email privately.

You could also use Facebook in a blog style, as that's essentially what it is, plus it's got a very shallow learning curve and is user friendly for family to access or you to stick stuff up on without having to run admin panels etc

You can then share it with as many or few as you want and it's pretty universally supported on all platforms/browsers.

You could even make up a slightly obscure NEW facebook identity just for the trip so you can keep open stuff on that then cross post to your private FB page if you have one, so you could cater for open and closed groups
