How do i convert SWF to a Video format?

use ripper there's a free download on the website.

http://www.dvdconverterpro.com/

but you'll need to convert the file to mpeg1 or 2 then re-import or save as smaller file for either streaming or similar.

Quality will change if you can convert direct to flash it would help as less conversion cleaner picture.

Best of luck

I'm a lot lost:confused::confused:

the link looks like a DVD to whatever convertor.. not a SWF plus audio to some sort of video one

still really confused:eek:

I think your swf is a wrappered file so it's not what it says it is, it needs exporting to a standardised format and then converting from that point.

Mpeg1 is a standard so you need to aim for that for a start then changing the parameters to suite your goal which is either a smaller file avi. wmv. mov. flv.

hope that gives you some help.

I've had issues with animation files not wanting to be video files, still needs formatting away from wrapper (whatever software you used to create) at this point you need make sure it's the right size and format then turn to flv. or use use adobe CS3 and it makes flv. from scratch.

the problem is.... I haven't a clue how to do any of the above:D

that was the search i did before i asked on here...
the first one has no sound
i did try another two one wouldn't work with vista... and another had an X watermark... until you paid up... i couldn't find " free" versions of some of them:eek:

but thanks for the help anyway... It looks like it's going to be too complicated.... i was thinking it would be easy to do... but it now seems otherwise:D

you can see why production types charge loads of dosh, cos none of it is really easy.

try this seperate the audio and video aspects

step 1 record the audio and import to editing software (this will tell you how long the piece needs to be)
step 2 convert the animation to video and import to editing software
step 3 slide them about till they line up sort of
step 4 make a few more cuts to give you the reverse angles:thumb2 add production value you might get an oscar

export the file to avi up load to youtube which does the flv. conversion

jobs a carrott:thumb2

thanks for the effort but that is just too much hassle for me to do... plus i really am unsure how to do it:(
a one stop idiot proof solution was what i was looking for:aidan

it also has to convert the audio too
i've downloaded this http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143445 as a SWF with audio and i'm trying to reduce the file size and keep the quality.....:aidan

what are the best opitions?
SWF files are generally small files anyway.

Stupid answer but if you open it in Flash you can then export to movie. What format do you want.

I'll get me coat.

this is 73.2 MB :augie

i know i have flash installed on my PC but i can't find a "program" called flash to open it with.

i used the Jing program Cookie found to make the help guide thing... but I'm only allowed a 1GB limit for looking at it.... and i'm nearly at it at the mo and it's been only a couple of days.... so i was thinking to try and Youtube it or Host it somewhere else....but i don't know how to do that either.... both My BT digital Valt and a Windows LIVE DRIVE would let me host it for some reason:( just fails on BT digital Valt and is too big for LIVE DRIVE

ooops...

but that not that big in the great scheme of things...:augie

you'll have flash viewer I guess but not the full fat version of flash...

Does jing want you to buy it to allow you to complete the project?

no it just in testing at the mo it uses screencast to host the file on but only allows 1GB of Bandwidth per month

oh...

oh well that's me done then...

turn the file into serial over the coming months
