Mark,

Have you looked at the FAQ's? There's an excellent need-to-know thread posted by Master Dabber (Derek).

You will need to reduce the size of your photo, the software you have for your camera should allow you to do this. I use Kodak, i right click on the photo and open it with Kodak, select edit the picture, then resize to Best for Web, then save and hey presto. That could possibly be a long way round but it works for me,
If you are having difficulty someone will pop up soon and offer to do it for you. I don't think my software will only allow me to adjust my own photos i am not that advanced but feel free to email me one and i will have a go

Good Luck

Best way is to host them elsewhere on the internet. I use Smugmug, mine are here, sorted by topic & country etc in to different galleries:

www.possu.smugmug.com

When you post a photo, have two Internet Explorers running at once, one for wherever the photo you want to post is hosted or stored (i.e. Smugmug) and the other foe where you want to post the photo (i.e. UKGS'ER).

Right click on the image, pop up box, left click on Properties, pop up box, highlight the URL (address) and press Control & C together to copy the image.

Go to wherever you want to post the image, place cursor in relevant place & left click on the small box above the text box that has a Mountain icon in it. You then press Control & V together to paste the already copied image URL/Address in to the text box. Press Enter & you'll end up with something like this in the text box:

When you Submit the post, the image will appear in your post. Repeat as many times as required. You're not loading pics on to the UKGS'ER server, just automatically providing a link to the address where the image is stored elsewhere on the internet.
