He's in the UK and i'm in sydney.

I'm thinking i'm going to need his IP address and computer address of his printer and add it to my printer list.

now the tricky bit...how do i find the ip and address of his printer ( right click/ properties ? )...or am i on the wrong track ?

don't want to be logged into any remote desktop prog tho - just print stuff for him to read in the mornings. etc

Although you say you don't want to, the easiest way would be to log on to his PC with a tiny programme like VNC ( http://www.realvnc.com/ ). I use this all the time and can access several PC desktops (including my mother's) wherever I am - all you need is his IP address.

Alternatively, send him an email and ask him to print it?

Can you not do it by net meeting and take control of his PC and print stuff out remotely.

AndyT

actually, Not sure if Netmeeting comes with the normal Windows package though in hindsight:rolleyes:

Use logmein? One of our techies was snowed in this morning and left his laptop at work so he connected by logmein to gain access to his apps, only downside was when the little sod turned his speakers up to full and played Rick Astley. :blast

He will be spoken to come morning :D
