how do i put photos into my thread?

fairly simple!
You can either resize them to be under the file limit (about 110kb I think) or probably easier is to put them on a photo hosting site first (like flickr or photobucket and then when posting click the little yellow square in the message toolbar (the one with the pic of a mountain range on) this will open the 'insert image' box then copy the picture location from the picture hosting site (normally displayed below the pic when viewing it) or get it by right-clicking on the pic and it will be shown in the properties.
I'm sure there is a post here which probably explains it all a bit better, try a search on posting pictures.
