Took my bike for a really good run, around some very dirty tracks a couple of days ago, totally enjoyed it.
Thought to-day, best to give it a clean as it's pretty filthy. It took me about 30mins to just get the screen completely clean. I think I will need to invest in a garden hose, from now on, it's sure to be quicker, than a bucket of water.

Once I got it clean I sprayed furniture polish on it, so hopefully in the future the crap will run of it.

I lay wet kitchen role over the screen for ten mins or so before trying to clean the screen. It soften ups the bugs and crap then just sponges off without any risk of scratching it.

I've always used a hot wet tea towel left on a screen to soak for about 10mins, this helps lift any bugs off, then a wash with a microfibre cloth.
To polish i always use 'Plexus', bit pricy but it leaves the screen as new. Its good on any plastic and very good for keeping your helmet clean ;)

The screens i've used it on in the past look as good as new after thousands of miles on them in all weathers.

Autoglym Active Bug Remover works quite well for me, even though the bugs tend to not be all that active.

Having cleaned the screen, I have used a number of products to get a nice shine, including some quite expensive polishes.

Just tried Armorall Protectant and a final polish with a microfibre cloth. Brilliant, best finish yet.

Wait until the bike is due a service and let the BM dealer clean it for you, worked for me so far :D:D
